What is a device?

• A device is an IoT device that is equipped with sensors, software, and network to collect and exchange data with other devices and systems.
• You need to create a new device within your workspace to start posting the data from your actual IoT device back to the Statstream platform.
• You can connect your IoT device to the platform via MQTT and HTTP communication protocol.

How to create a device

Quick Guide to create a new device

• Click on your Workspace Name to enter within your workspace.
• Go to -> Administration tab on top right corner.
• From the left side pane, Go to -> Devices.
• Click New Device button on the top right side.
• Enter suitable Name/Label for your device.
• Set Device ID for your device.
• Enter device Description and save your device.
• You can add and manage multiple devices within your workspace.
